You Will:

  • Work on all aspects of market research engagements including: project management, survey/guide writing, client management, report writing, proposal writing, and online panel/community management.
  • Engage directly with clients, vendors, internal software development teams, and the entire company. We are small and integrated – no boxes or silos.
  • Manage ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative research projects in traditional online market research and cutting edge online customer insight communities.
  • Work on a variety of projects from creative testing to product innovation.
  • Handle multiple projects successfully, on schedule and within budget.
  • Innovate – we want you to bring your ideas and best-practices to help us continually improve the insights, value and solutions we are able to provide.
  • Develop and mentor your project team.
  • Build and nurture client relationships by providing your research expertise.
  • Communicate meaningful insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Be amazing. Really, we don’t have the time or budget for anything less than someone that is not fanatical about quality and putting 100% into everything they do. We need someone that thrives on finding solutions for customers, loves pleasing people with unexpected kindness and has unwavering determination to make it happen…every day.

Core Competencies:

  • A minimum of 5+ years market research experience project management, client management, questionnaire and report writing (client facing with quantitative research experience, a mix of knowledge around product, CPG, retail, tech and branding subject areas is a plus)
  • Online insight community or MROC research management a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in advertising, research methodologies, social sciences, economics, marketing or related field
  • Experience in one or more of the following: branding, research, marketing and advertising (Research Manager, Account Planning, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience developing and leading a team
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience moderating in-person or online focus groups a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills (both creating a deck and also presenting it to clients and executives)
  • Computer skills – MS Office with an emphasis on PowerPoint
  • Ability to be a proactive self-starter
  • Project/time/task management
  • Attention to detail and desire for perfection
  • Analytical and inquisitive by nature
  • Team player; willingness to wear many hats
  • Strong in-person presence

This is an entry-level position with unlimited growth potential. Most of the people who started out in this role moved up quickly. This position is ideal for someone who wants to get started in the Market Research industry and learn how to work in a fast-paced team environment. Your job will be to analyze the needs of our projects, and provide pricing. You won’t get bored…or get to be lazy.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine project feasibility and provide costs
  • Work under (sometimes unreasonable) deadlines
  • Remain organized in the face of chaos
  • Track source performance – be aware of what works and what doesn’t
  • Work to improve pricing accuracy and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with staff and our sample partners to identify the best sources for each bid
  • Support sales staff with any needs related to sales and revenue growth
  • Be a mind reader (OK not really, but it does help!)
  • Be unflappably cheerful in the face of (sometimes) absurd demands

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Learn quickly and be a self-starter
  • Have an interest in learning our business
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Technically inclined with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven problem solving and issue resolution skills
  • Above average mathematical skills
  • Demonstrated skills in multitasking, time management & organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • An enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Some data processing experience e.g. data cleaning and running counts/basic statistical knowledge/familiarity with the word ‘stats’ will also be beneficial
  • Any Market Research experience is beneficial but not essential
