Job Description – Business Development, Cannabis Division

Our cannabis division is growing rapidly. We’re looking for an Account Executive with a deep understanding of the cannabis space – marketing, packaging, growing and the legal landscape. We want someone who is an expert in the topics that keep our cannabis clients awake at night. We’ve been doing cannabis research since 2016. We have a passion for the cannabis industry and love helping brands grow. If you share this passion, we want to talk to you.

The Account Executive is a high visibility role crucial to our business growth. The Account Executive is expected to work with Senior Account Executives and Management to generate leads, close business and grow client accounts to achieve both personal and company goals. The Account Executive will also participate in group selling and group training activities to further fuel the growth of SoapBoxSample.

Job success is based on a collaborative effort and coupled with self-motivation, an innate drive to succeed and a passion for developing new business. This is a true business development role where you will be responsible for learning aspects of sales and client development. This is not a role dedicated to managing existing client accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating new client business, closing sales and growing accounts to meet revenue and margin goals.

  • Achieving predefined sales goals in order to achieve personal success and contribute to company’s yearly revenue goals.

  • Acting as our resident “cannabis expert” and assisting our team in growing their cannabis knowledge.

  • Developing new client leads and maintaining a healthy pipeline with high conversion rates.

  • Promoting SoapBoxSample in the industry and seeking client accounts that best fit with SoapBoxSample services.

  • Participating in all internal sales meetings to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide optimal progress updates to the sales team and management.

  • Proven record of successfully guessing organizational email formats. Seriously.

  • Attending seminars, conferences and meetings focused on building new business and maximizing revenue of clients.

  • Representing SoapBoxSample brand personality and positioning in the marketplace to ensure cohesiveness and unity of SoapBoxSample both internally and externally.

  • Supporting Senior Sales Executives to support the overall growth of the company.

  • Documenting of all sales activities in the company CRM system.

  • Have a solid track record of winning new business? Have you successfully built a pyramid scheme? We want to hear about it.

  • We’ll take you to cool cities for conferences and client visits (OK, we’ll require it).

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years Sales Experience

  • 2+ years Legal Cannabis Sales Experience

  • Proven experience meeting/exceeding sales goals

  • Exceptional ability to win new business

  • Proven ability to generate leads

  • Dynamic personality and exceptional client relationship skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Demonstrated skills in multitasking, time management & organization

  • Resilience, flexibility and eagerness to try new approaches

  • A confident, focused attitude coupled with humility and the desire to grow and learn new things

Job Description – Estimating & Vendor Relations Associate

This is an entry-level position with unlimited growth potential. Most of the people who started out in this role moved up quickly. This position is ideal for someone who wants to get started in the Market Research industry and learn how to work in a fast-paced team environment. Your job will be to analyze the needs of our projects, and provide pricing. You won’t get bored…or get to be lazy.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine project feasibility and provide costs
  • Work under (sometimes unreasonable) deadlines
  • Remain organized in the face of chaos
  • Track source performance – be aware of what works and what doesn’t
  • Work to improve pricing accuracy and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with staff and our sample partners to identify the best sources for each bid
  • Support sales staff with any needs related to sales and revenue growth
  • Be a mind reader (OK not really, but it does help!)
  • Be unflappably cheerful in the face of (sometimes) absurd demands

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Learn quickly and be a self-starter
  • Have an interest in learning our business
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Technically inclined with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven problem solving and issue resolution skills
  • Above average mathematical skills
  • Demonstrated skills in multitasking, time management & organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • An enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Some data processing experience e.g. data cleaning and running counts/basic statistical knowledge/familiarity with the word ‘stats’ will also be beneficial
  • Any Market Research experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Be amazing. Really, we don’t have the time or budget for anything less than someone that is not fanatical about quality and putting 100% into everything they do. We need someone that thrives on finding solutions and rising to the next level.
